The University Outpatient Clinic for Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Charité Mitte Campus treats patients with acute and chronic liver diseases as well as the entire range of acute and chronic diseases of the digestive tract (esophagus, stomach, pancreas, intestines).
You are here:
In the field of hepatology, the diagnosis and treatment of chronic viral hepatitis (hepatitis B, C and D), autoimmune liver diseases (autoimmune hepatitis, primary biliary cholangitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis), rare hepatological diseases (hemochromatosis, alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency, porphyrias, Wilson's disease) as well as benign and malignant liver tumors are performed.
The field of gastroenterology deals with acute and chronic diseases of the esophagus, autoimmune, infectious and malignant diseases of the stomach and pancreas, as well as chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis) and intestinal inflammations (microscopic colitis, eosinophilic colitis, intestinal amyloidosis) from other causes. In the context of these diseases, we also offer numerous clinical studies in which innovative concepts for diagnosis or therapy are investigated.
One focus of the University Outpatient Clinic for Hepatology and Gastroenterology at the Charité Mitte Campus is the clarification and differential diagnosis of unclear clinical pictures of the liver and the digestive tract.
